The Barbarian Invasions - Historically Indo-European Looking Nomads,White and European Huns Reskin

In 1 collection by FrozenmenBG
+FrozenmenBG+'s Attila Overhaul Collector's Edition
33 items
Description
Reskin of 24 of the Vannila Hunnic and 18 White Hunnic unit rosters. There are still 15 Hunnic and 14 White Hunnic units that look Asian. The Reskinning of the units are done by Sebidee.

This mod Tries to Represent the European Nomads that Joined the Huns Before 395ad on their path into Europe from the Pontic Steppes and Central Asia without ignoring the Asian/Mongolian origin of the main Core of the Huns.

The Huns in TW:Attila look the most idiotic way done by CA where every unit that they got is Mongolid looking and that wasnt the case.A cheap way from Creative Assembly to make a buck in the marketing department. There may have been some Turkic infuence but it wasnt dominant. They may have been the ruling party but the mass of the people wasnt. Now those units got European Faces instead of Asian ones...

The units that are Reskined are:
1.Uar Archers
2.Uar Warriors
3.Chosen Uar Warriors
4.Bosphoran Infantry
5.Bosphoran Warriors
6.Steppe Tribespeople
7.Steppe Warriors
8.Steppe Bows
9.Steppe Shield Archers
10.Noble Acatziri Raiders
11.Steppe Raiders
12.Steppe Mounted Brigands
13.Steppe Mounted Tribespeople
14.Noble Steppe Cataphracts
15.Steppe Lancers
16.Steppe Cataphracts
17.First Wave Lancers
18.Noble Horse Archers
19.Steppe Horse Archers
20.Steppe Mounted Bows
21.Nokkors
22.Unnigarde
23.Steppe Spearmen
24.Steppe Levy

No, they were not Mongols but all historians agree that they came from the steppes of Central Asia (same place as the Mongols). They would have migrated to Hungary ravaging all the territories they crossed. Attila was, moreover, born and died in the vicinity of Hungary. And it was during their migration that they recruited soldiers from among the peoples encountered or subjected. Upon arrival, their armies were well composed of several peoples of diverse origins. But most of the troops came from the steppes of Central Asia.

kidarites = kızıllı they were turkic Uar-huno= Uar Kun they were turkic xionites xion=kun=hun They were turkic too and White Huns & Al Huns as a phenotype Are Turanid & gobid = Mongoloid, Mongolo-kafkasoid Kafkaso-mongoloid just like Turkic peoples genetically, when we remove the native slaves, they are 30-90% mongoloids. just like other turks of that period.
The Kun in the Xiong-nu state are 40-90% mongoloids.

I dont think there is an actual Mod. I think they guy had a really ambitious plan about 4 years ago and it would have made for an outstanding mod but it just kinda stalled and he got about as far as 20 odd menu pics. Shame as this long game taking you from late 4th C to late 7th or early 8th C would have been akin to a crusader kings early antiquity game and would have been incredible but I dont hold it against him for not doint it. Would have been a monumental job which the game engine is ill equipped for and he would have got nothing for it and assholes would have just posted shit about it. Probably only a handfull of players would have played the whole time period also. Fusing together the main game with say....Fall of the Eagles with E.Perdita mods, with the Justinian mods and then the most recent rise of islam mod with big scripted events akin to the military reforms in the Rome total war game, to reflect new units and systems would make for a truly epic game mind.
