"Not every fps game was a success... here are a few prominent examples of games that failed on the market.

Daikatana (c) 1999... John Romero's disenchantment
Area 51 (c) 2005
Blacksite (c) 2007... some later boss fights are not so bad
The Bureau: XCom Declassified (c) 2013... cheesy shooter with bad reviews... I liked it, though
Turok (c) 2008... the reboot that destroyed the franchise
Star Trek (c) 2013... what a shame for the Star Trek universe
Homefront (c) 2011... ok, I actually liked that one, too
Dark Void (c) 2010... not one of Capcom's best offerings
Syndicate (c) 2012... below average shooter and certainly NO real Syndicate sequel
Duke Nuk'em Forever (c) 2011... at least it got finished!
Hour of Victory (c) 2007... another fast forgotten WW II shooter
Velvet Assassin (c) 2009... bought my new box for 20 cents
Rogue Warrior (c) 2009... read the Steam reviews
Shadow Harvest (c) 2011... just buggy
Aliens: Colonial Marines (c) 2013... play ANY other Alien game instead!

Daikatana was completely unplayable before the first patch on my Voodoo 2.

And it wasn't even that bad (daikatana). It just couldn't live up to the hype...

OMG Daikatana. What a huge fiasco that one was.

Opinions are different. I have to confess I also liked most of the stuff, more or less. Some games just have more serious limitations than others :steamhappy:

I enjoyed so many of them: Homefront and The Bureau :8bitheart: Velvet Assassin and Aliens: CM were decent, too. :o :D
