@ Zoot the beetles, according to the wiki, need to be filled and then set to wander for them to produce oil and fertilizer from dung. they will not collect it on their own.

Do the beetles collect poop around them or do you have to fill them up with poop for them to convert? I would like to them wander around enclosed base and let them collect poop and convert into Oil and Fertilzer.
