Description
To accompany the "Enemy Reconnaissance" expansion, I have updated this add-on, so I recommenend reading through the changelong. This is an optional UI-Addon for my main mod called "Contextual Unit Names". Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=487443549

Features
  1. It removes the unit type from the UnitPanel, when you rename the unit. For example, if a scout is renamed to Marco Polo in the Unit Panel, it will show up as Marco Polo (Scout). With this add-on, it removes the "(Scout)" from the unit panel.
  2. It also adds a tooltip to Unit Flag, so that the name of the unit, and the unit type shows up when you hover above a unit's flag.
  3. Promotions in Unit Panel are condensed (used whoward69's Condensed Unit Promotion)
  4. You can right click on the name in the UnitPanel to edit the name (used Kalurak's UI EditUnitNames3)

Compatability
  1. This file edits the UnitFlagManager.lua, and UnitPanel.lua, and will not work well that edit those files. For example:
    • Communitas UI
    • Thals and Barra Unit Flag Promotions

  2. This mod will overwrite Enhanced User Interface's Unit Panel. So if you want to use Enhanced User Interface's Unit Panel, don't install this add-on.

Credits

I have included code from these mods. BIG BIG thanks to these authors:
  1. whoward69's Condensed Unit Promotion
  2. Kalurak's UI EditUnitNames3

Changelog
  • v3
    • Units with the name of a leader, also gets their potrait.
    • Airplane names, no longer carry their descirption. Example "3rd Fighter Instanbul", wont be called "3rd Fighter of Instanbul (Triplane)"
    • Added tooltip to each airplane that shows the unit type. What do you guys thinks? Should I keep this tooltip?
    • Enemy units with names, can be seen by you. (This is the feature that is used in my Main Mod, and hence is required if you want this feature in my main mod)
    • Names are written a little better in the panel, so that biggest font, and padding between the two arrows is adequate. Plan to improve this further.
  • v2
    • Added Unit Type to the tooltip, so that you can find out the unit type.
    • Added the "Click to Select" to the tooltip, to feel more like vanilla Civ 5.
    • Increased Civilian offset to the flag. Always felt it was a little less.
  • v1 - Release

I must've not read the description, because I was under the impression that you couldn't customize unit names with this mod, and instead was using Kalurak's mod. Awesome! This mod is gonna be fun to use for sure!
