[101] Middleton to Sunderland

Description
Middleton-in-Teesdale enjoys three through, direct trains to Sunderland. Today you are in charge of the 11:40am service between Middleton and Sunderland, as far a Durham. Bad weather has hit the region and there are quite a few delays holding services up. Career scenario starting with 1000 points - see how many you've got left by the time you reach Durham! Good luck!

This is a fantastic scenario and I thank you for creating it. @GamesDan, whilst you were waiting at Barnard Castle did you notice Dominic Cummins lurking in the background? Love the Class 101, reminds me of visiting my grandparents who lived in Danby on the Esk Valley line, which was then served by this class (late 50s early 60s). But perhaps I'm showing my age. Who cares!

This is a great scenario, I found it very enjoyable with a nice mix of signals, speeds, and AI traffic. I'm always on the lookout for quality scenarios on this route that don't require a lot of other DLC, and this definitely qualifies. I ran it with the AP-modified version of the class 101 in lieu of the stock version, and I was still able to stay close to the timings (I scored 885, which is not bad for me).

My only minor complaint would be that the wait at Barnard Castle was a little excessive. I know we at least got to watch some AI trains passing through while we were waiting, but I think around half that time would have been better.

Thank you for your hard work on this scenario and for sharing it with us.

I always enjoy driving the DMU and I really enjoy this though I'm not sure if I've completed it fault free yet. It's a great run for showing off the Weardale and Teesdale route. Regarding people missing out on points or a completion tick I've had that with other scenarios on occasion so I doubt it's any reflection on your scenario in particular- though twice is bad luck.

I have placed a link to this on the Friends of DRCM website.

Not sure if it's a problem with this particular scenario, or the game itself, because I'm new to the game, don't know all its bugs yet. Somewhere between Romaldkirk and Cotherstone (I didn't notice exactly where) the whole UI and sound glitches up. Wipers freeze, engine sound and exhaust plumes freeze at whatever state it was at in that moment. Unnerving hearing engine at high revs when picking up passengers lol - oh yeah the door animations stop working too.

Other than that it gets a thumbs up, Very pretty route.
But I am biased because I live somewhere near the Tees :steamhappy:

Hi daymyron, no idea if or how the scores from the Workshop scenarios display in the UI, so I can't say anything about this issue. On the other hand, I'm glad to see you enjoyed this scenario.

One thing, the score does not seem to display in the UI and even though I scored 1000 on two runs, there is also no indication of completion in the UI.
My friend has the same issue too, so it's not just me.

Nice scenario, long enough to fully get into it. I also like the career factor. Please do more, and perhaps a free roam one too of the Weardale.
