Description
NORMANDY (WILLIAM I)
Unique Trait: Doomesday Survey
Courthouses are automatically built in conquered cities if you possess the original owner's Capital. After peace is declared, all cities captured from the opponent grant a burst of Gold.

Unique Unit: Chevalier
This Norman unique unit replaces the Knight. When attacking cities, this unit does not have the combat penalty the Knight normally does. It also begins with the Cover 1 promotion, making it resistant to Ranged Attacks.

Unique Improvement: Motte and Bailey
The Motte and Bailey may be used as a substitute for improving Cow, Sheep, or Horses, increasing their Production/ Food output. Any unit stationed within a Motte and Bailey receives a 50% defensive strength bonus. Additionally, any enemy unit which ends its turn next to a Motte and Bailey takes 5 damage.
PATCHNOTES
  • v2
  • Standardization update.
  • UA is now called Doomesday Survey. Second half of the ability (formerly, free Castle on conquest) has been replaced.
  • Chevalier now only begins with the Cover 1 promo.
  • Motte-and-Bailey no longer increases the Gold output of pasture-resources (still their Production/Food).

How do you get these 'events' up that you have showed in some of the pictures?

With the Conflict Resolution Patch (CRP) mod already released, I have already found out that the Normandy mod is sure to be considered out of date. I'm sure the mod may have caused the CRP to suffer runtime errors, so thus, it is decided that the Normandy mod will not be supported along with all of JFD's civilizations in order to avoid further errors

great mod, but automated workers replace my motte and baleys with pastures even though they are set to not to replace existing improvements

Quite good, although a bit too OP in my opinion.
I'd remove the gold bonus from motte & bailey, being able to replace pastures with mini-citadels while keeping food and production bonuses is already very strong.
I would also remove the cover II from the chevaliers. They are so strong, even longswordmen are useless. Even trebuchets are not that useful anymore because of their slowness, unless your oponent has really good defenses... and bots won't if you rush chivalry, which you should.

Chevalier model is too small, other than that it is quality

It has served me well to stay clear of Civ mods that have brief mentions of bugs in the Comments sections. They will likely break your game (learned the hard way). But it's only fair to turn it around: I've played with this mod forever and with all kinds of set-ups (Community Balance Patch, etc). Never had a problem. Recommend.
