How 2 Cheque If A H@ Is Gifted

This guide answers a question in the world of TF2 unusual trading that I have never heard anyone ask. It is recommended for players who have recently gotten into trading unusuals and don't want to get ripped off. Please r8 up if you enjoyed it.

Step 1: find a hat to rek shrek drek check

First, find the unusual you would like to check. Let's assume you're using the second most popular trading site, TF2 Outpost, to buy unusuals and would like to buy one from this guy (first most popular is definitely my unusual auction group. You should check it out, it's a good group (no bias)). Let's check to see if his massed flies dreadful knot is gifted. If you're not using outpost how can you afford an unusual in the first place? Like seriously, good job man for getting this far without using a popular trading site, I'm impressed.

Step 2: hover your cursor over the unusual. If you are under the age of 18, ask an adult to help you.

use your mouse, mousepad, game controller, joysitck or steering wheel to move the cursor over the unusual and see if it says gifted by: *name*

If it says gifted by: *name*, then it's probably gifted

In this example, we can see that the unusual has been gifted by a gentleman named "edible ♥♥♥♥♥"

The observant among you may notice that this unusual does not say "Gifted by:"
This is because the unusual is not gifted by anyone. It may be duped, but so far nobody has worked out how to tell.

yes, most people buy gifted unusuals for 50% of the normal price. (Actual fact, so there you go, this guide is kinda useful)

@Aihana Etsu, no, almost any item can be gifted and you can check in the same way. Even most normally untradable things can be gifted, like achievement items :) Gifted weapons lose no value, and craft hats don't really lose any value either. Only expensive things' values are really damaged by being gifted.

@Ben, I just googled shrek the 5th and you're right :O Also every class has 3 weapons. The illuminati have been working under our noses the whole time D:
