War on Terror: al-Qaeda (alpha)

CUSTOM DLL. Adds a new Civilization to BNW.

WIP, most likely unbalanced (either way).

Replaces: DeclareWarPopup.lua, CityBannerManager.lua, UnitPanel.lua adds columns LuaCanHandleEvent and LuaHandleEvent to Missions and InterfaceModes.

UA: War of Attrition
  • Invading units must pay double maintenance.
  • Gain (faith) from Garrisons and pressure from Followers, but may not train Missionaries or Inquisitors.
  • Aircraft may do kamikaze attacks.
  • No representation at United Nations.

UU: Extremist
  • Replaces Missionary. Stealth. Civilian. 2 moves. Ignores open borders. 1000 Strength. No Capture. Gets experience.
  • Has two custom missions: Immolate, Establish Terror Cell.

UI: Training camp
  • +2 (faith) -10 (gold)
  • 15% defensive bonus.
  • Units stationed on this tile gain 3 experience per turn (not affected by Honor).
  • Can be built on neutral territory, very fast to build.

Other:
  • Requires BNW
  • Desert Bias, avoids Jungle and Tundra.
    May still get pulled there if no compatible land left.
  • No custom graphics at all, sorry Morocco.
    Only focused on code, not art.
  • In-depth mechanics explanation/feedback here.
  • AI not done yet.

no it changes things too deeply into the game, that is not possible with lua scripts, i suggest you run a vm with windows perhaps? because I dont have a mac (asuming its possible to have custom.dll types of mods on mac)

Sounds fun but I am playing on a Mac and the custom.dll crashes my game. Any chance of a version without the custom.dll?
