i've done a legandary with the visigoths never finished cause pc broke but i was doing fine. that whole thing with the rivers i never would've thought of. unless i was camping out a horde. in which case its a great way to funnel enemy troops but really helpful

Straight away, the defenders have only 4 units in the settlements, it's quite possible to take the provinces with the brigands disbanded and you only need the onager for the very first walled city on turn 2. If any enemy stacks get to close, you can double team them with your two armies, or focus the units into a single army for a full stack.

Yes i meant in the initial turns i didnt think of disbanding any units. Did you take each settlement in Pannonia staright away or did you wait a few truns in between?

Do you mean in the initial turns or overall? I was not buying any new units for the first several years and i disbanded all the brigands cuz they suck IMO. Also you can disband the onager after you can your first walled city if you need to.

IF you mean later game, I'm actually putting together a video now for maximizing income with province optimization.

I like your guide, it is one the best ive seen but how did you sort out the income. I am losing 1500 a turn and am bankrupt

Thanks man, if you have any specific requests just let me know. I have a few ideas I'm rolling around in my head already, but input is appreciated.
