Barbarian Inmersion Enhancements

Descrizione
Adds features (Era Name Change, Barbarian Generals, Era Promotions) to enhance barbarians ingame, both for flavour and gameplay reasons.

[forums.civfanatics.com]

Era Names:
Changes the Barbarian names according to Era:
  • Ancient and Classical: Barbarians
  • Medieval: Brigands
  • Renassaince: Pirates
  • Industrial and Modern: Rebels
  • Atomic and Information: Terrorists

Era Promotions:
Adds unique Barbarian Promotions according to Era:
  • Barbarian: No bonuses.
  • Brigand: Ignores Terrain Cost and Withdraws
  • Pirate: May embark and receives naval bonuses.
  • Rebel: May embark, can capture enemy units to their side and may move after pillaging.
  • Terrorist: May embark. May move after pillaging and has increased attack against cities.

Barbarian Generals:
Adds a slight chance for Barbarian Generals to appear at encampments. Generals make encampments harder to conquer (allowing
Barbarians to heal) but also grant more Gold and some Culture when captured.

Notes:
All three features may be enabled or disabled through the Leugi_Barbarian_Settings.lua file.

If you experience lag when switching Era Names disable the settings_BarbarianChangeAll option.

Also, this mod is likely incompatible with any mod that changes the Barbarian Reward Popup (not that I have seen any mod changing that before)

Special Thanks to:
Sukritact (who made the Barbarian notification icon, taken with permission from JFD's amazing Germans mod); Tomatekh (who helped with testing)

So I mad a map with citystates and fixed them in the editor. But now no Barbarians spaw.
If I set the citystates to random Barbarians will spawn.

Hi. I´m using barbarians - unlimited Exp mod and some times I don´t get the culture and gold for destroying an barbarian camp.

Very badly balanced and buggy. Barbarians tend to multiply themselves when loading a game. The gain from killing barbarian generals is way to high. So, the general idea is great. But I cannot recommend it at all in its current state.

Okay this is a really really small issue: Immersion. :)

Ok just reloaded the game and it changed the name, which shows it is working but not really as it only takes effect after reload

I'm having an issue where their names are not changing when the world enters a new era, what could be causing this issue?

@Goatroach: I'm running both and units still receive XP towards promotions (I've got some units at level 6) but not towards Great Generals or Admirals. This may not be a problem with this mod but with the vanilla game itself as I believe there is another mod that allows you to continue to receive XP for GG and GA from killing barbarians.

Does this mod interfere with the unlimited barbarian Xp mod? I'm running both, and my units annoyingly no longer get Xp from barbarians after the unit receives 60 Xp.

Is this DLL based? Asking because Linux doesn't support DLL mods.
