Found an Empire

Found an Empire is a mod that allows players to adopt an Imperial Government once they reach 80 provinces owned. This mod is the successor to the 'Become and Empire' mod, with has completely reimagined Empire governments and now includes Administration Technology 20 reforms for Western nations.

Updated and ready for Version 1.21 and the Mandate of Heaven Expansion.
Due to the nature of this mod it will most likely run even if it is not up to date with the latest version.

Version 3 of my Empire Mod is 100% Compatible with version 2 saves, although any already formed Empires will not be able to take full advantage of the new features. Some government forms have been removed and so I have added events to advance them to their more updated counterparts (they’re still in the code, so there won’t be any issues).


Two Basic Monarchical Empire Governments
- Feudal Imperial Monarchy
- Despotic Imperial Monarchy

Four Reformed Monarchical Empire Governments
- Reformed Feudal Imperial Monarchy
- Administrative Imperial Monarchy
- Absolute Imperial Monarchy
- Constitutional Imperial Monarchy

Two Republican Empire Governments
- Democratic Imperial Republic
- Dictatorial Imperial Republic

Other Unique Empire Governments
- Great Khanate
- Islamic Caliphate
- Reformed Islamic Caliphate


Imperial Factions,
- The Administration: focusing on internal affairs and stability
- The Diplomats: focusing on foreign relations and trade
- The Military: focusing on the quality and quantity of troops

Imperial Expansion Casus Belli for all Empire governments, no matter your tech group or level

Imperial Governments added in historic starts to,
- Austria
- Russia
- Ottomans
- Mughals
- Byzantium
- Trebizond
- Persia

Decisions edited to include Empire Governments,
- Japan Unification Decisions
- Inca Nation Decisions
- Manchu & Qing Decisions


All Tech groups form the same Empires until the rise of the West, at Administration Technology level 20.
More specified Government types, such as Absolute Imperial Monarchy, Constitutional Imperial Monarchy.
Most events & decisions have been rewritten to accommodate for the new advanced Empire types.
More flavour for Republics, such as dictatorships from low republican tradition.
Empires were completely overpowered, and so have been toned back.


Please not that this mod is 'technically' compatible with the old; however I don't see any advantage in running both side-by-side so I suggest you uncheck the original mod from your launcher's mods tab.

The reason I did not just simply update the old mod was the fact that I rewrote the entire mod from scratch, and trying to incorporate the changes I wanted into the old would have led to some broken saves and plenty of complaints.
I also have not included Imperial Nations, as I decided against including them. They were a pain to make and I don't think they would fit in with the 'feel' of what Paradox intended for the game.

For those of who you Cannot download mods via the Steam Workshop, for whatever reason, you can download the file from {ПОСИЛАННЯ ВИЛУЧЕНО}Mediafire. To install just extract the files from the zip file into a convenient location (the desktop is always a favourite) and follow the installation instructions included.
