How to Upgrade the Operation Breakout coin from bronze to silver and gold
The Operation Breakout coin is upgraded by fulfilling the missions that are displayed in main menu of the game after obtaining the Operation Breakout pass.

The player has to fulfill a distinct number of missions in order to upgrade the coin to silver or gold:

You get a a maximum of five missions per week. Although some players reported that they only got two. This could partitially be due to the drop rate reset times.
FAQ
How do I get the Operation Breakout Coin?
The Operation Breakout Coin is obtained by activating a Operation Breakout pass on your account. You can buy a pass of the Steam Market Place or directly in the CS:GO main menue.
Once you have bought the pass you will find it in your CS:GO Inventory. After activation you will find a bronze coin in your inventory.

Why should I upgrade the coin?
Why shouldn't you? You do not have to upgrade the coin of course but when you buy the Operation Breakout pass you can try to get the most out of it. A gold coin looks better than a bronze or silver coin. Additionally: You upgrade the coin by fulfilling operation missions. For fulfilling these missions you also get skins as a reward: Fulfilling 15 missions to upgrade the coin to gold will also give you 15 (sic!) weapon skins.

I only got two missions dropped. How do i get more missions?
Missions are dropped like skins were dropped in previous operations. That means the more you play the more missions you will get.
Some players use idle servers in order to get drops although they are not playing.

I had a mission that told me to get a certain number of kills with a certain weapon in a certain game mode. I did it but the mission is still open! Why?
To fulfill a mission you have to play the entire game. That means that you cannot just join a casual game, get for example 6 shotgun kills and leave. You have to play until the match is over in order to make it count!

Do mission drops count towards the weekly drop total, so if you get a case drop you can only get a possible 3 mission drops etc?
No. There are people that got 5 mission drops plus 2 Breakout case drops.

Do bot kills count?
No.
