Mission
We have several villages on our patrol route today. We are to stop at each village and make contact with the village leader or whoever is in charge. In doing this we are working on three goals. First we are showing presence to give the locals a sense of security and show that we are actually there with them instead of hiding behind walls and vehicles. Second we hope to boost relations by actually talking to them and listening to their concerns. Third and foremost however we are to collect intelligents about possible insurgent groups operating in the area. Either from the locals or from personal observations.

Intel
As usual nobody has seen anything. Nobody is involved in anything and its the other village that is to blame. Same ♥♥♥♥ different day.

Today
We have already past Anar and Feeruz Abad. Just finished talking to the village elder of Kakaru. He has a bunch of complains, but nothing useful. On our way from Feeruz Abad to Kakaru we overheard on the radio that another patrol is beeing engaged about 40km away. It sounded like QRF and Tigers are tied up with them. Should not matter anyway. I just hope everybody is going to be ok. It is only over this hill to Sakhee. One last fruitless conversation and then we are off back to camp for debrief and beer. That the other patrol has been engaged is a real suprise. It has been very calm over the last month or so. The biggest concern most of the men have is weather or not they are going to be able to skype with their loved ones later.
