The Taguel

Descrição
Now a second FE civilization, the rebuilt Taguel, led by Panne! The game she's from is Fire Emblem: Awakening. Should be compatible with all three versions of the game.

Her trait is Taguel Pride: Every city with 5+ citizens get +2 Culture and +1 Happiness. In addition, all non-Mounted, non-Armor (you know, tanks) land units can get a promotion that doubles movement in Forests and Hills after getting Drill/Shock II, or Scouting I for Scouts. (As a note, the movement bonus doesn't apply in Jungles!)

Her unique unit is, naturally, a Taguel Fighter! (Sorry, no model changes.) It replaces the Pikeman, immediately comes with Drill I for a rough terrain bonus and an extra couple points of strength. Good for defense and offense as resourceless units!

Side note: They promote to Musketmen in G&K and BNW, to avoid Lancers with MAD SPEED. Please be mindful when choosing promotions!

She also has a unique building, the Forager Warren. It replaces the Granary and gives an extra point of food in tiles with Forests. Lots of prey in those forests, you know.

-----

This took a few months, whew. I hope it's fun for everyone. When I designed the traits and everything, I wasn't going for any playstyle in particular, though a big-ish forest empire would probably be pretty good. Mostly wanted to fit what little we know about the Taguel. Anyway, thank you for looking!

Let me know if there are any problems and I'll do my best to work with you on it!

Fire Emblem is owned by Nintendo and Intelligent Systems, not I.

I really hope you make a Civ VI Panne mod, this is one of my favorite mods.

I have the mod installed and everything, and when i try to setup a game with the civ she isn't there. The mod is in the active mod list before you select single player, but it just doesn't appear.

I feel like the Taguel fighter is too weak for a player to every have any real need/want of buidling it. A civ needs to be able to build barracks and Armories to boost units to the appropriate level on recruitment that allows them to finally get the "bestial agility" perk on recruitment (only for the taguel fighter, because one level's xp does not have to be used on drill, other units would need even more xp buildings), by the time all of that is available, The player can build Longswordsmen, which already has a higher strength than the Taguel Fighter. Double movement through forests and hills hardly makes up for the defecit.

Because of all that, I think it's something the taguel Fighter should simply receive, or that the "bestial agility" perk should be available after drill 1, rather than drill 2.

I really like the mod and the Idea, it's just a tweak I had in mind. Thank you.

Aww, hey, thank you! I made it with the Civ V SDK tool on Steam! You'd probably need a guide or help to start, but yeah. Glad it runs great, too!

I set up a test run, and Panne's made another city before 1200 B.C. even. I guess it was just being weird, but I'm sincerely sorry that it messed up!

Sorry for slowness; you're positive, then? What expansion(s) are you running if any?
