I cannot quite adequately express how appropriate it is, that the individual making a Newfoundland mod, has a display pic of both the Canadian flag and the Union Jack. Looking forward to the updates, you're doing a fantastic job. Cheers from a drunk Newf! Or I suppose I could just say 'from a Newf'!
And yes my plan for this faction was that their fishing bonuses would force them to focus their development on coast cities, as newfoundland did historically. Glad you are enjoying the mod
Many people also made their own boats, dorys in particular, I seen one in a shed that was in the process of being built, so they were made locally. I guess that excuses why ships have so low maintenance.
Well, to be fair, 'dumbfound' is an actual word. I'm a Newfie myself, and don't feel insulted at the little mistake. It's like accidentally saying 'Australia' instead of 'Austria' or vice versa. I mean, there's only 2 letters that differentiate the two names, so you know, it's understandable. A more appropriate example would probably in calling Haiti 'Hater'. Common word online, so no offense would typically be met, it's just a slip of the tongue due to how similar they sound, or rather, a slip of the finger.
Anyways, gonna give this mod a go. Only other mod I installed so far is one that allows me to rename my units as soon as I get them. In Civ4, I had this thing where I numbered and dated all units. "Warrior I 4000BC", "Redcoat XXIV 1779AD", or if I upgraded the Warrior to that, "Wa I 4000B Re 24 1779" because there's probably not enough room for "War I 4000BC Red XXIV 1779"
