Description
Dive into an enormous, fully explorable and richly detailed ocean environment in the fourth map of the BobSP series. Following the destruction of the Reptoid mothership in SP3, it sank to the seafloor and the EDF assumed that the Reptoids were finished. In payment for Duke's services, the EDF financed a state of the art undersea resort where he could finally get some R&R. But as usual, it did not last long. An emergency EDF transmission informs Duke that while it was sinking, the mothership released some kind of underwater craft on the way down that they did not initially detect. It transformed into an underwater base, and in response the EDF established two of their own seafloor stations: A fighter-sub support station and an undersea prison for containing and interrogating any surviving Reptoids. The resulting sub to sub battle between the EDF and Reptoids was short and bloody. All Reptoid subs were destroyed, and only two EDF subs were left, both inoperable. With the EDF subs out of action the Reptoids invaded and occupied both EDF habitats, destroying most of the decompression chambers and looting one for parts, to ensure that anyone left alive would not be able to safely return to the surface. It now falls to Duke to retake his own undersea resort and to drive the Reptoids out of the captured EDF habitats. In the process, he will investigate the deep trench laboratory which the EDF has lost contact with, hack the Reptoid base security system, place a fusion detonator in their reactor, and recover the CO2 scrubber they stole which he will need to repair the only intact decompression chamber, without which he cannot return to the surface world. To aid in his mission, EDF ships operating on the surface have dropped special Oxygen refill stations all over the lagoon seabed, along with ammo resupply crates, and Duke has been provided with special magnetic boots that will allow him to stick to certain metal surfaces so, in select areas, he can stand upright and move about normally despite being underwater.

Sorry to hear that, TheChiaGod. Are you running eDuke32 with Atomic Edition? There's also one more map in this series, BobSPX, which you may enjoy.

Unfortunately every time I enter the spa area the game crashes so I can't complete this map. The little I saw of it was pretty nice though.

Thanks. IMO, There's really nowhere else to go with the franchise at this point. It is too distinctly 1990s to succeed if they try to play it straight.

I was reading your (caption) ideas for where Duke could go in the future, in terms of satire, genius dude.:B1:

No, all standard enemies/art/sounds.

Are there any custom(new) enemies in this series?

The platforms are simply made with flattened sprites. eDuke32 now supports actual stacked sectors as well, but I have not yet seen a reason to use that feature.

amazing design. I could never figure out how one does multiple landings and such.
