Circlet Helms - Dawnguard Addition

Circlet Helms for the Helmet Disinclined

I am no longer updating my mods on the Steam Workshop, and I am very unlikely to add new ones to the Workshop.

Framing of text in thumbnail image was entirely unintentional...
The typo in one of those screenshots totally was, though.

''For centuries we lived here, far from the cares of the world...''
One and two and three and jazz hands!
''All that ended when my blah blah blah blah...''
''This is the power that I offer! Hey! Where are you going!?''
''Yes? What do you need?''

What I need Serana, is a circlet that offers the same protection as a Falmer Hardened Helmet, but without the blinding blindingness.

That's right! I've finally finished the Dawnguard portion of my award winning* Circlet Helms collection by adding Dawnguard stuff to it.
In this special TV** offer, you get
Dawnguard Heavy Circlets
Dawnguard Light Circlets
Vampire Circlets
Heavy Vampire Circlets
Royal Vampire Circlets
Heavy Royal Vampire Circlets
Hardened Falmer Circlets***
Heavy Falmer Circlets***
Medium Falmer Circlets
Ancient Falmer Crown helm!

*That award being a sweet roll.
**Not available on TV.

You can craft the Dawnguard circlets at Fort Dawnguard once you unlock the forge by recruiting Sorine. You can craft them with no smithing skill, too! You just need to be at the Fort Dawnguard forge!

Falmer circlets require varying levels of smithing expertise, but no perks. The Falmer circlets can also be found on Falmer.

The Vampire circlets can be crafted at any forge (except the Dawnguard forge, that is), provided you have a piece of vampire equipment in your inventory.

The Ancient Falmer Crown helm can be crafted with ANY Ancient Falmer armor in your inventory and a good smithing skill. And a ruby. Boom. Done.

The circlet helms can be found in the Jewelry section of the smithing menu, or in the Misc section, or in their material section if I really messed up. Which I did, so look in the materials, rather than Jewelry.

NOTE: The weird recipes are ALCHEMICAL, to add a little more effort to obtaining the circlets. So no whining. Just pick those mushrooms. And the Dawnguard circlets require emeralds because of reasons.

Updated April 1st, 2014 with simplfied recipes for vampire circlets.
Updated January 14th, 2014 so people can actually craft these things...whoops.

what about the aetherial crown? that is pretty much the only reason I wear circlets...does this include making that armored to bypass the issue of losing all those fantastic armor perks?

Let me guess... someone stole your award.

Thanks for this.

My only problem with this mod was that I couldn't put my own enchant on the Dawnguard circlets. The special "full dawnguard" perk of 25% protection is nice but it'd be nice to be able to make one with no enchants for people who want to choose their own and still get the "Matching Set"perk.

Other than that, this is a great mod and much appreciated.

Thank you good sir.

Oh! I just looked at the recipes, and I messed them up. Right now they require 60 Smithing. No more, no less, which makes no sense. I'll update the mod so people can actually craft them.

I activated the mod, my smithing skill is 90 and I have the arcane smithing perk, they just dont show up when I'm trying to craft them. I'm trying to craft vampire circlets to btw.

How do you mean? Are they invisible? Do you have a good smithing skill? The Arcane Blacksmith perk? Did you activate the mod?
I need some more information about the problem or else I'll keep asking stupid questions.
KJcoolcat Jan 13, 2014 @ 5:49pm
They didn't show up in my game at all.

It's also a bonus to smiths in game - regardless of faction armour circlets improve your appreciation of your character's build from Helgen or Riften edits you still have a face.
