I created this mod because I want to bring the fear of dying back to ARK. This mod adds new death mechanics that can be configured to match how terrified players want to (or should) be of dying in the game.

This mod is only intended for hardcore players.


The following options can be configured to change what happens to your character and your inventory when you die.

Lost XP Multiplier
The % of total XP players should lose each time they die. Players will retain spent engram points and spent levels but any unused levels will be lost.

Break Items
Automatically breaks any armor and items that is equipped when a player dies. Items must be repaired before they can be used again.

Break Items Multiplier
The % of durability equipped items should lose when a player dies. If durability reaches zero, the item will automatically break.

Drop XP Orbs
Whether or not to save XP in the form of expierience orbs. Players can return to their corpse and consume the orb to regain a % of lost XP.

XP Orb Multiplier
The % of lost XP to be saved in experience orbs. If set to zero, an experience orb will not be dropped.

Destroy Achievement Skins
Automatically removes achievement skins when a player respawns, removing the need to manually drop them after each respawn.

Destroy Corpse
Automatically destroys the corpse and death recovery marker when a player dies. Inventory items will be deposited into a death cache.

Destroy Inventory Items
Automatically destroys inventory items when a player dies instead of depositing the items into a death cache.

Respawn With Items
Automatically transfers equipped armor and items from a players corpse to the player when they respawn.

HARDCORE MODE
If enabled, players will lose ALL XP, engram points, level points, and inventory items each time they die. (Not recommended for noobs.)
