Eye of a Needle

Description
This map is not for everyone. It involves some tricky portaling and timing. Now I'm no good at these but I can get through it. It's actually fun if you can do it.

There's a simple puzzle at the end which tends to get more difficult the more you think about it. Just jump in and see what everything does.

Spoiler alert.....There is an alternate solution to the second chamber that is so easy. No timers involved.

the ending room very tricky. i just brought the cube with me into the room and everytime i opened a fizzler i just took the cube with me.

OMG. F6, F6, F6, F6. I need a new F6 key. At the end, I was running around from button to button, pressing as fast as I could. I figured there was a pattern if I would just take the time to study the sequences. But, by going crazy, I lucked out and got the cube to its site. Yea me!

good map.
just watched your video.
I did some of it differently.
I funeled over all the fizzlers, in the 1st part of the 1st chamber.
then moved away from grating ledge, then towards it & made it there.
(after a few deaths)
then portaled the cube to me.
then portaled myself & the cube to the area of the 1st button.
I portaled the cube to the 2nd chamber, before crossing the goo.
died a few times crossing the goo.
when I made it, portaled back for cube & put on 2nd button.
portaled it past panel, like you did.
then the easy bit. (no more deaths)
not even a cube death :)
could not make out how you got the cube, when you were on the ledge,
with the funel ?
looked like you did something imposible ?
but you could have just used 2 portals from the ledge, without the funel.

Very interesting map, but it has some really difficult parts that took me some tries before i was able to sove it.
The last part was hard, particularly the timing of the buttons, but very original, i have never seen a similar concept before.
Overall very good, thumbs up with no doubt!

You're right about the portals. I've made the mistake of using fizzlers without allowing for cube retrieval in the past. That's very frustrating for the testee to have to start over. The fact you went back in to find the alternate gives me pleasure. You didn't leave quickly when you reached the exit. Map is a success. Thank you.

Enjoyed it! When one time then read your spoiler...and had to go back to find it ! Liked the cube rescue you made possible here , just in case! The fizzlers part was easy and no need for portals there, which I suspect you put just as decor!
