UPDATE v.03 is here!
  • + 3x Space Battles in Difficulty medium, Hard+ and DEATH (the medium one is even an 3-area battle in itself!)
  • A bit more PDA Mission guidance - still this is way w.i.p. and will be added over time!
  • Minor adjustments to all Combat Tests (f.e. increased times)

Version v.03

WiP !! (Work-in-Progress)

What is it:
  • This is a lightweight Combat Simulator with varying challenging Combat Instances taking place on Planets* and in Space.
    *Planet battlefield(s) not yet included
  • >> less Story more Action! <<
  • As Simple as: Choose your Battle Field, prepare yourself and get into ACTION!
  • => perfect to test and find Enhancements & Flaws for / in your Vessels and to test and increase your own Combat skillZ!

Please note, this is still a W.i.P. Version, and this is the actual content in v.03:
  • 6 Full usable SPACE Combat Scenarios of Difficulty medium, Hard+ and ULTRA+ against varying Opponents up to 7 WARships and 6 Installations!
  • You will get any needed Materials, Fuel, O2 and Ammo already in your Inventory and get promoted to level 25, additional wareZ can be found at the Personal Containers at each Portal Station in each Instance - there is no need to cheat anything!

Please beware, the ULTRA+-Challenges (actual SPACE BATTLE III and V) are very heavy on Performance, I highly recommend to downscale any grafic settings!
And I would suggest you bring some friends with ;-)

Future Updates will include
  • Planet playfield(s) for land combat with HVs and SVs
  • and more...

Please provide feedback, wishes and ideas to make this Scenario better!
Also I'm accepting wishes for including specific Vessels and Bases if they can be converted into good Enemy structures to test and compete against!

And...
please don't forget: Difficulty in this Scenario(s) DOES MEAN something!
  • medium is a good testing ground for any Fighter-SV and Multipurpose-CVs -
    this is already harder than nearly anything you will encounter in vanilla Empyrion!

  • Hard is for Combat-CVs, or BIG Super-Tanks, or very agile Multipurpose-CVs.
    Others... don't try.

  • ULTRA I do not recommend to try alone besides you have a real UBER CV, over-maxed Weapons and such... but better is.... BRING FRIENDS!!

  • DEATH. Now... I don't need to talk about, do I ?! Only for the Masochistic BADASS-PVP-BOSS out there who doesn't have victims anymore... and friends either.... ;-)

And, because some might forget....

Always check that at each beginning of a new Scenario-Start, Empyrion sometimes forgets that setting!!

IMPORTANT NOTE:

There is another Bug in Empyrion found:
I've used the PDA Script code TargetLevel 25 to set the playerlevel to 25; still this does bug when the Player Progression is set to only slow!
That means, please

I will try to fix that with adding XP points additional to the player.
Also on prolonged fights some Food reserves would be fine, these will be added in the next patch!



On Request here a small HowTo to integrate that scenario on Servers (thanx to ASTIC!):

  1. Get Scenario locally and locate it (search for sectors.yaml and then check the description.txt)
  2. Copy that Scenario onto your Server under
    ...\<Empyrion GameDirectoy>\Content\Scenarios\RuckysCombatTests
  3. That name needs to be added to the dedicated.yaml
    under GameConfig:
    CustomScenario: RuckysCombatTests # Enable custom scenario.
  4. also change the difficulty settings all to hard:
    DiffDronePresence: High
    DiffEnemySpawnRate: High
    DiffAttackStrength: Hard
  5. and allow spawning of Blueprints without Bases:
    GroundedStructureSpawn: false
  6. Stopp your Server
  7. Delete!! your Savegame under ...\<Empyrion GameDirectoy>\Saves\Games\
  8. Restart your Server

Maybe you can do a quck patch to get it working with 8.xx and then add then continue working on the land battles for a future update. Really need this working again

@rucky - I respect that you have responded and have decided to keep working on this instead of just letting one or the only mods on empyrion like this die. Great job man!
