Soul Trap Revised

Opis
Overview:

Changed Soul Trap functionality so that it now has a projectile. Also added a function that it deals a little damage over time if you have Soul Siphon, and makes you regain Magicka if you have Soul Squeezer.

Additionally, a spell "Summon Corrupted Shade" has been added to the leveled lists, its not too strong or overpowered, hovever I found it missing for a true necromancer.

The 'Ash Pile Expiration' mod causes newly-formed ghostly remains to disappear after a set length of time, but does not remove pre-existing ghostly remains. Perhaps I'll have to target them using the console and then type 'markfordelete', but I'm nervous about accidentally removing part of the ground.

Great fun, but unfortunately each summoned shade leaves behind a shimmering puddle of 'Ghostly remains' that persist through multiple restarts. They have greyed-out '[E] Search' options. Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks for an excellent mod!

What a relief to finally have a well-functioning Soul Trap spell!

With Atromancy (1/2) I can have a flame atronach and the shade by summoning the shade first, then conjuring the atronach (but not vice versa).

Thanks again!

you should also make it so soul trap tells you what kind of soul is trapped when it succeeds

Thanks for the reply! I appreciate that.

@Bushwhacker2K It used to work when I created it. Since a projectile functionality was added with the Enhanced Edition it may be that they also did changes to the Soul Trap Spell in the original Edition which may cause a conflict. This would also explain why the other mod you mentioned does not work. I won't update the mod since its functionality is now a part of the game (enhanced edition), but feel free to make any changes to it to fit your needs and republish it elswhere - I don't claim any kind of ownership.

The animation and projectile work- but the soul trap effect does not appear to work. :(

Tested this and the mod "R Soul Trap" and unfortunately neither appear to properly Soul Trap.

Very nice - just a small improvement that makes all the difference for that spell. On the note of the corrupted summons, I personally prefer the atronachs, but they're very much the same functions in the set anyway (one archer, one tank, one anti-mage) I'm just biased on asthetics. They're actually quite good.

P.S: One of my mage mods (I have several to make it actually viable to be a mage) appears to have broken the atronach perk on the conjuration tree. I have no idea whether this mod has something to do with it (or a conflict, or whatever) but it might just be something to look out for.

Nice idea.
