Worldbuilder Fix (v.1)

Somewhere along the line, Firaxis introduced a bug into the Worldbuilder that prevented the user from placing jungle on plains tiles. However, the game's rules remained uneffected and map scripts still generate jungles properly on plains tiles. This mod introduces a couple of lines of codes in an XML file to recitfy this glaring bug with the Worldbuilder. As far as I know, this is the only upload to the Steam Workshop to tackle this problem.

To use this simple mod, simply click the "Subscribe" button on this page. Then, open the Worldbuilder and ensure that "Worldbuilder Fix" is checked on your list of mods before starting or editing a map. This mod has no effect elsewhere in the game, and can be left enabled while you play as well.

Please report any issues you find with the mod and happy map making!

Thank you very much for wonderful mod!!! I have been suffering with this wrong jungle for so many years and did not know how to make the jungle in the plains. Before I had to generate a map and delete everything except the jungle so that there were tiles with the jungle on the plains. But now all is ok!!! Thank you!

Regarding the comment under me, from 8 January 2018, I have tested it out and have not encountered such issue. A test map I made had Citrus placed both on Grassland and Plains Jungle. The map loaded up just fine.

Hello, This mod first appeared to be working but theres one GIANT flaw. When u place any resources into jungle on plains using this mod it causes the map to be bugged and load forever.

Spent like 8 hours making a map and another 8 rebuilding it step by step and finding out whats wrong. And it was resources in jungle on plains. Once i removed the jungle and placed the resources directly on plains the map was working. But its stupid to place citrus and cocoa just on plains. I would rly be amazed if u would make some fix for that.

Plains probably represents how jungles do not provide adequate soil for agrarian farming, like a plain.

@majorpickle01: This mod makes the Worldbuilder compliant with the games default rules of jungles on plains. Take up the merit of jungles on plains with the Firaxis devs.

@Exmachina I would say thats more of a bug than not allowing you to place jungle on plains. I'm not critisizing, mod the game however you wish, but plains and jungles couldn't be further removed from eachother

@majorpickle01: The games default map generating rules only places jungle on plains. Next time you chop down a jungle take note of the underlying terrain; it will ALWAYS be plains.

@Exmachina Okay thank you. I don't think a tiny bit of XML did anything either now, but now we have to wait for 2K's (or Firaxis') support claim to go through the 3-6 week black hole we know as Steam Support.
