The unlocked traits mod can make you synth on day 1

So, I assume by 'organic' you mean non-machine portraits that can be used with standard empires? And that means the alternate is a machine empire only portrait?

In this version you play as a regular species instead of a machine species, you also wont need the Syntethic Dawn dlc.

May I ask, as someone new to Stellaris, and a fan of Nier:automata, who also does not have syntheic dawn yet, what is the difference between this and the original version of the mod?
