Description
[Mod is playable, some text lines and images missing - updates will be slow to come - I am slowly learning TWWH scripting]

You have control of a mercenary army with a gameplay sandbox style. You can sit still and watch the world burn, pick up a torch and burn things yourself, or save the world (or certain parts of it).

This mod adds a new playable faction to the game with themed units, techs and gameplay. It does not replace any other faction.

You operate as a horde that can recruit exotic, dynamic, larger & more expensive units.

Occupying settlements will provide the benefit of reinforcement but does not allow you to develop them. You retain the function of a horde even while you have a settlement in your control.

You must scrounge for money by manipulating diplomacy and fostering good relations with wealthier factions. You must plan your approach to the AI factions and engage with them to ensure your interests are preserved.

Basic win condtition is there, but do not expect to be able to enjoy a finished campaign yet. Balancing is ongoing. Substantial structure of the mod is complete - it works but is missing some features (text lines etc).

Anyone with experience who is willing to design variants, technologies, lord and their skill trees is more than welcome to do so - I am willing to collab.

This is designed to retain the "constant struggle" feel (i.e. a challenge) that you got if you played Chaos on WHTW1 release on Legendary difficulty. This wil be very very difficult on anything other than hard.

Could be very kewl to be able to recruit from the faction we are allied with just puting the idea there

This would be an amazing idea for someone. Maybe make some of the unique units like the dragon rider high elf new lords of a sudo horde faction. You'd get legendary lords out of a ton of characters.

@Apoc quite right, twwh game 3 might be where its at. Thank you for noting the timing.

Simple reality, is that there is a framework here that I am unwilling to build upon without some stability in the base game (which is continually evolving, quite dramatically at times).

That said, I want to wait for all future content from CA before working on the final design - not - working on a mod for twwh1, or 2, while 3 is yet to come.

it would be great if you put gotrek and felix in (they are merc after all) but thx by the way the idéa is great, and i hope they will do a dlc like this but may be for the 3
