Chaos Rising

Description
From the chaos wastes they come, leaving naught but ruins in their wake..

This is a soft overhaul mod for the Warriors of Chaos, designed to make their campaign mechanics more fun and less tedious.

*Sigvald gives a new faction effect:
+10% Physical Protection to all Marauder units

*Kholek Gives a new faction effect:
+15% Physical protection to all Chaos Monster units
(Giants, Shaggoths, Dragon Ogres, Trolls, Manticores)

*Unique Legendary Lord Character skills have been tweaked or upgraded, mostly Sigvald and Kholek.

*Sigvald's Weapon has been upgraded.

*You can now unlock recruitment of your Heroes by simply building a Tier 3 Horde Settlement. The hero specific buildings give extra ranks and extra capacity instead.

*God Choice skills have been added for Exalted Heroes, Sorcerers, Chaos Lords and Chaos Sorcerer Lords. These are unlocked at Rank 12 and are mutually exclusive.

*The tech tree has been expanded, several techs have been strengthened and there are some new techs that cost Chaos Favour (Money) which grant especially powerful effects to certain units.

*The Blue skill tree has seen most of its skills buffed pretty significantly.

Hordes won't take attrition for being in close proximity of one another.
(this was added from the mod "Warriors of Chaos: Horde Infighting Immunity" http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=691510785 )

Marauder Infantry and Horsemen have gained the same rage ability as their Norscan counterparts.

Norscan missile infantry has been added, filling out a needed gap in the Roster.

Some skills have seen a boost to their benefits.

Savegame compatible.

Should work with most mods, however i do not use SFO/Lucky's/Radious etc so i have not specifically tried to make it work with those kinds of mods, give it a try if you're not sure and if it does not work just disable this if you prefer those mods.

Woah.

Thats the thing, Warriors of Chaos looks to NOT be a horde faction in Warhammer 3.

They will own Settlements, this has been confirmed.

Hopefully CA puts in an anti-colonization mechanic for them in WHIII, then. When I play horde factions I like to take one settlement in a large area and lay the rest to waste.

Sorry no, its beyond my skillset currently.

On the bright side we're only 2-3 months away from Warhammer 3 where WoC can just occupy settlements themselves!

Though we most likely won't be able to play them until Immortal Empires releases.

Have you implemented some kind of blood ground style mechanic for the WoC? Without the capability to block the AI from recolonizing, I feel it is an entirely lost cause to play the WoC. My campaigns are dampened when Elector C*nt number 3 follows me around recolonizing every damn ruin I leave behind. This is why I use SFO because they built a blood ground anti-recolonization mechanic into their newest mod update.

Yes, that was the intention.

At most its an attempt to make WoC a bit closer to how a later DLC race would be, though to be fair ive not messed with their base mechanics that much so they still play very much like they would without this mod.

You just have slightly more units, more techs, and some hopefully more choices as to which starting lord you pick though even i still think Archaeon is probably the best.

Is this balanced with vanilla?

The only thing that comes to mind is that you have a script mod of some kind being spooky for you.

Any mod like "instant quest battles" or some such can and have messed up quests for me in the past.

Do a check of any mod that sounds like they use scripts and try turning them off, most of the time the quest will fire if given a turn with offending mod off.

Worst case scenario though you need to restart the campaign.

Gejnor once saved my family from NFTs, I am forever grateful to him for that reason, even though his mods cause quests to break.
