This mod requires the Dawnguard expansion.

This mod aims to refurbish areas of Castle Volkihar which were previously left in ruins and also add new areas to explore.
The East Tower has been transformed into a small guest quarters/player quarters with safe storage and bookshelves. The North Tower has been turned into a Library/Museum with plenty of varied display options. There is a brand new Chapel within the North Tower. I have also created a brand new Baths area. I have connected these new areas with the Castle Volkihar Balcony via a brand new Ruined Tower section.
I have also cleared up the courtyard area around the tower entrances and added a large custom fountain against the North-East wall.
I have aimed to furnish the new areas in a manner that is lore-friendly and also believable in order to retain immersion.

- New map marker to the castle courtyard

Future additions: I have completed what it was that I originally set out to do so from now on I will focus on improvements and minor additions.

Please Note: Back-up your saves before using this mod. Please also back-up your saves before using the most up to date version of the mod.

A note on confliction: Firstly, I created this mod after completing the main Dawnguard quests and so cannot say with certainty that it will not cause any issues. That being said, the only changes that I have made are physical ones i.e. moving rubble, adding furniture, adding flora. I have not moved or removed any of the quest objects, markers or triggers. This means that there should be no issue running this mod before completing the main quest line.
Valerica's return does not conflict with this mod in any way.

i have a major bug i can only get the courtyard entrance fixed but i am on the vampire side and when i kill harkon isran runs in and the castle doesnt revert to being mine

I thought the revamp was well done, keep doing the revamps of other structures a lot of them could use a make-over.

Hi dougiedave,
1) Afraid so, all my additions were based on assuming the vampires were chosen
2) I only made cosmetic changes, so if the expansion allows spouses etc in, there should be no problem with my mod
3) As mentioned above, I dont think this mod would work for you if you wanted to use Volkihar as a Dawnguard base- sorry.
4) I didnt change the docks (never got round to it). I left the undercroft too, as my new basements are nice as a seperate feature.

correction followers. Also, what about the undercroft, the docks, and everything else? Are they cleared as well?
