Osiris A1

Description
Heavier and better armored snub-nose model of Horus A1 (linked below).

This ship has pretty much all the same features as Horus, but it's just heavier and better armored overall. Bulkier size allows for better component placement in terms of protection. Fuel tanks, generators and core are all better protected than in Horus A1.

One major design feature of this ship was to improve overall survivability over the Horus A1.

This ship has three areas to it, which all have everything needed to enable the ship to fly. I guess you could call it a three-point design, where you have three points of the ship that each need to be "disabled" (destroy tanks, generators and RCS) in order to disable the whole ship.

These areas are the "wings" and mid-section of the ship. Destroying both wings completely or one wing and mid-section will not necessarily disable the ship as long as the core and cockpit remain. Guns are also spread across the hull to make it harder for enemy to destroy them all.

I test fired artillery turrets, rockets pods and different weapons on this ship throughout the development to make sure the component placements and everything is ok in terms of survivability.

Horus A1 has all the same features, but since the cockpit is exposed, it's vulnerable in that sense. This ship does not have the same problem. The cockpit is covered in the front by armor bulkhead and armored glass and is overall harder to destroy. The Core has much more steel around it in this build as well and it is further away from fuel tanks and the vulnerable top hatch.

Combat features:

- 12 hardpoints for guns
- Hardened steel build
- Armored cockpit with interior access door and front bulkhead armor
- Redundancy generator and separate fuel tank sections
- Powerful thrusters for maneuverability
- Small front profile
- Blastdoor sectioned interiors
- Hatchdoor proctected constructors, cargoboxes and fridges

Utility features:

- Headlight system specifically desgined to illuminate as much as possible
- Two easy-access, external cargo boxes
- Four large internal cargo boxes
- Two constructors
- Armor rack, O2 Station and a Ventilator
