Description
Another map that I made long ago and updated to publish to the workshop. It contains a lush valley, where most Civs will start, a lake, a few islands, and a vast network of narrow mountain passages through the northern region of the map. Settlement of the mountainous area will be rewarding, but a bit difficult to grow with and quite dangerous if barbarians are involved. Works with Vanilla and Gods & Kings. Future updates should include multiple sizes of the map, along with G&K-exclusive resources. Good luck, and I hope you enjoy this map as much as I do!

Version 2: Removed "Dyes" resources from water tiles, added loads of bonus resources, slightly increased strategic resource count, added more luxury resources including Gods & Kings resources

Sobewarrior, I also have this problem. There is an easy fix; just move the map from the mod folder to the maps folder. In this case, you'd have to move the file from
C:\(username)\Documents\my games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\Mountains of Terror (or something of the sort) to
C:\(username)\Documents\my games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\Maps.

remember, do not move the folder, move the .Civ5Map

Once you're subscribed to the mod, it should show up in the mod list. Once it's enabled, the custom map should appear on the list of available maps when you're setting up the game. That's all there really is to it!

My apologies, but I must ask - Is there something to accessing workshop maps on civ 5? I know that subscribing causes steam to download the mod, but I can't access it through the game. (I go to mods on the start menu and it's constantly empty) Do I access the map pacs from a different spot, I really wanna play this map as well as the others I've subcribed to / downloaded.

Good point, I'll do that for the next release. Thanks.

True, but I ment replacing the tundra, not the mountains (giving even more encoragement to explore).

Good thought, but the idea was to have it as incentive to explore the mountains.
