"Shroud Rising" is a renowned Stellaris mod that plunges players into the mysteries of the Shroud. Delve into its depths to uncover ancient secrets and face cosmic dangers. Since an update was sorely missed and to keep this legendary mod alive in the annals of Stellaris, I did an unofficial 3.12 patch to LastLeviathan's excellent Shroud Rising mod.
Detailed instructions on the latest original (3.8) page.

Note: this is a patch, so you still need the original mod.(even if it should be very clear, I've to mention this, and even then...)



Behold, this patch be but a spectral whisper, a mere echo in the ethereal expanse of the Shroud. A fledgling specter yet to find its true form. tread lightly, for the mists of uncertainty cloak its every move. Changes shall materialize like phantoms, shifting and swirling in the aether.

Embrace the ephemeral nature of our journey, for the Shroud is a realm of constant flux. Expect the unexpected, as the very fabric of reality bends to our will. Your feedback, dear voyager, is the beacon that guides us through this shadowy labyrinth.

So, gather your courage and venture forth into the unknown. Within the depths of the Shroud, mysteries abound, waiting to be unraveled by intrepid souls such as yourselves. Together, let us pierce the veil and uncover the secrets that lie beyond. 🌌

I continued the previous game and got the trait spam again for the same leader, but it might be different for a new game, I will start one and and update. Thank you for the support

@Il-Khan: you are quite fast, there is a general blocker for this now, so I'm quite wondering about your experience. But I can add a blocker direct in the traits too.
The disappearance of the menu is intended after some time after midgame.
@teo-lost2: sry I don't take random general requests anymore.

Btw, sadly the cultist trait spam still seems to happen, one of my leaders is the chosen of the Whisperers and still got spammed with traits for all the other shroud entities

Thank you for the update, for some reason during a running game, around year 2300, the mod menu disappeared from the policies and & Edicts tab. the mod is still running and I have the shroud traits and civic active, but this minue disappeared and the rifts do not appear. Do you have any idea ? Also I have knights of a toxic god demonic incursion installed and its menu also disappeared at the same time (perhaps after the mods updated on steam few days ago). Thank you

Do you think could add a Council Position to the Shroud Civic? I imagine that this original mod came out a little before Council Positions from Civics were a thing, otherwise one would be in the original mod

Also received the issue in which a leader repeatedly gets all 4 cultist traits. And it seems like the game is trying to re-add the same cultist traits every few years (although this doesn't change anything since it just replaces the old identical one), not sure if that's somehow related.

Is the shroud rifts just not kicking off for anyone else?

Hey, I got a leader with 4 cultist traits, for each of the shroud gods, it is - 20 stability...
is that supposed to happen?
Also, I have shroud worshiper civic and a convenant with the whisperer and still have the traits, isnt it a abit strange concept wise? I would have that that least if your a shroud worshiper or if you have a covenant with a shroud entity you will not have cultists and cultist leaders pop up like mushrooms in the rain
