Edit: came back after almost 100 hrs more to say that this game is still absolutely bloody amazing, even after finishing the story

There's so much content packed into this gem; the gorgeous art, music and oh-so-satisfying gameplay, mixed with stellar voice acting and charming characters/story - it all keeps me coming back for one more run

I could not recommend Hades enough, especially to those that are tentative about the "permadeth" mechanic of rogue-likes but have wanted to try one - this should be your first

The way it weaves development and progress - be that story, character or gameplay - into even your worst failures is an extremely refreshing change for the genre
