When playing this game, i felt immersed with the character in a way i had never felt before. I was forced to make hard decisions and really think about what was to come next if i wanted to get past certain enemies. it was as if the ballerina fighting style in previous batman games had been completely redone into the combat style i found in this game was unlike any other. You had various options in gadgets you could use to help defeat the bad guys and when done right, felt very rewarding.

The story in this game felt unique in a sense that this was no like any batman game made previous as with the combination of the updated graphics and lighting it gave the the feel of the game something special which made the game so playable. The plot with scarecrow and the now deceased joker made the game feel apocalyptic and as if batman had jumped into mad max, injected himself with steroid and said "i'm going to take on a whole city" in which he did and made the game so fun.

Some problems that i found in the game was that although the gadgets all had very well thought out purposes, having to stop mid fight and press the key for a gadget at the other side of the keyboard but then not have time to react to an incoming hit really put me off and caused me to stop playing for a while. Another problem was sometimes the combat would just have no thought process and just be spam mouse 1 and the occasional counter. there was one mission where tens of hundreds of jokers fight you and it was one of the most boring experiences i have had while playing a game.

My overall opinion on this game is that it is worth buying regardless of a well waited steam sale. definite no re-playable aspect but worth all the time i spent. SIDE NOTE: there is an ending if you 100% the game but it is probably more beneficial to look it up on Youtube. the side missions are ass.
