This game is nothing for new players who are looking for a good time unless they have three other friends with them.

In general this game is really good with many unique characters and weapons, a ton of skins and taunts, fun abilities and gamemodes. The matches aren't too big nor long and you have to work in a team to win. The movement is good the weapons feel great and there is even a leveling system for all the avalible weapons.

My problem is the not working skill-based-matchmaking (sbmm) and the none functional "after join" feature which allows people to join a started match after somebody has left.
First the sbmm. It is suppose to put you and other players in matches with people who are your skilllevel/ accountlevel. This sadly happens very rarely for some reason. Most of the time I (account level: 207) get matched with players who happen to just stumble upon this game. The enemies we are fighting play the game since it released as closed beta. Normaly this wouldn't frustrate me but in a game that tries to accomplish a ranked like feeling it ruins the fun. I usually like helping newer players but this isn't possible when you have only voicechat and your teammates disabled it to not be "disturbed". The fact that most of your matches are against players who are far more experienced than you scares off many new players. On the other hand, it also really suckes when the enemy team is the "new-player-team" sicne you just stomp them into the ground causing them to leave the match and probably never touch this game again. It could really use some fixing at this point (11.10.22).
Second the after join feature. At the beginning of this game if a player disconnected for one reason or another, they would get a slight ban for playing and the others had to fight with only three people. Now players who are in a queue are able to join a match that only has three or less players on a team (one exception: when the other team quits entirely, the match a is stalemate). On paper a good system with a few slight issues. This only happens at the beginning of the match and the players who join sometimes have a blackscreen for one or two rounds. Usually it makes sense to let players not join if the match is almost over but in this game the beginning of the match happens to be the first two rounds out of 6 . That means that the team with less players has almost no chance of wining after these two rounds. The blackscreen that most rejoining players get leads to most of them quitting within the first few second of even joining. These problems are not just dissappearing by adding some new cotent but only make the player experience worse.

Although I really enjoy playing this game with all the bugs that never get fixed and all the new content that gest added, I highly reccomend to play this game ONLY with 3 other friends to first: communicate properly. Second: don't let people join who are on a whole other skilllevel as you join you're party.

After playing this game for a few hours over the past few years, I can savely say: Team Fortress 2 is a good game.

Summary: TF2 truly is a masterpiece that has some bad things to it as every game does. The skill ceiling is very high and it is hard to get into but very rewarding when you get the hang of it. There are a lot of cheaters which are easily avoided by kicking or re-queing. And the community is very welcomming and always likes to help newer people.

Let's start with the good stuff:
- A huge collection of maps
- Almost no queue time
- Nine very different classes with their own playstyles
- A huge collection of weapons to choose from (many are very bad but fun)
- Some alternertive modes from the regular one including PvE
- A huge community with lots and lots of nice people


Now for some bad things:
- Starting new is very hard
- A lot of bots/cheaters
- Some lootboxes (only cosmetic)
- "teaching mode" doesn't work
- No updates (comon Valve)

Overall it is just a great and satisfying game ( pun intended).

It looks great ,runs even better, is easy to play and is very addictive
