This game as been a major part of my online life since it came out. Even way back before I had a computer to play games on, I'd always see mentlegen and pootis memes. I'd watch SFMs and GMod clips. But for the past 5 years the game is virtually impossible to play as intended because of a massive bot problem, thousands at the least of bots that play sniper primarily that use aimbot to instantly kill you. A few years ago Valve decided to limit free to play account's access to voice and text chat, thinking it would at least stop the racist comments said by the bots. Instead, the bot hosters just paid to unlock those bot accounts, leaving actual free to play accounts to even call for a medic, and in a way this means Valve has directly profited off of malicious actors, because the VAC system is an honest joke of an anti cheat; third party anti cheats ran on community servers works better than Valve's own software. We aren't asking for a major update, or the final comic any more. All we're asking is for Valve to step up and show that they're at least trying to fix this problem that their laziness and severe lack of communication have allowed to happen. As it stands right now Casual mode, the mode that Valve INTENDED us to play, in next to impossible to use. #FixTF2

While this game is a place that I have managed to make many, many friends on that I am grateful for, I cannot ignore how the development team is so obviously blind to what the community actually wants. They're blind, and only interested in making a profit. Which as a business, profit will always to be something to strive to. But by including EAC in a future update, they are losing both player numbers, and VRC+ subscriptions. If VRC can't do the right thing and not use EAC, which is bypassed anyway in games like Halo and Rust, then I'll just cherish myu memories that I made here, uninstall the game, and migrate to a platform that doesn't put partnerships above their playerbase; the thing that got them to where they are anyway. NEOS VR is always an option, after all.
