When i first started playing it was a struggle to get into the game as there is so many new mechanics in it. This to include the ability to know how gates work (NOT, AND, OR) and others. However after grasping them it has became quite fun and interesting to hangout in. My only complaint is the new Industrial DLC the map lags and slows down substantially as if i have 10 large builds loaded into the map and it breaks somewhat constantly. Hopefully with the next few updates the devs fix it and smooth out the whole ordeal. Keep up the good work.

THIS IS A COPY AND PASTE DIRECTLY FROM THE OFFICIAL MECHANICA DISCORD

Hello everyone,

I’d like to apologise for the massive amount of time it’s been since my last communications. Earlier this year I decided to take a break from developing Mechanica due to pretty severe burnout.

I Initially intended to resume development at a later point, but I have come to the unfortunate conclusion that it is no longer financially viable to continue developing Mechanica. For the past year and a half, I have been living off of savings from the earlier stages of Mechanica’s life cycle, with continual income at a minimum. Unfortunately, during the 2 years of updates following release, sales have only continued to dwindle. It is no longer possible for me to live off of Mechanica’s sales, and as such, I am discontinuing development so that I may pursue other employment.

This has been a crazy experience - I started work on Mechanica in 2017 and released it in 2020 at age 18. It has been my primary focus for almost a quarter of my life, However, following 5 years of development, it is now unfortunately time to move on.

I am deeply sorry about this - for years I was determined to realise Mechanica to it’s maximum potential, but I’m now aware that this will not happen. I’m deeply thankful for the massive support you’ve given me over the past couple of years - I’ve had a blast working on Mechanica, and I hope you’ve all had fun playing.

Thank you all so much, and apologies once again,
Tyler
