So after finishing the main story I felt like i chuck in my review.

What I liked:
First the story has improved from constant radio dialogue in the first dying light to actual cutscenes and character interactions. Adding Multiple Endings and choices definitely helped fill out the story.

Second traversal system is better, I do like the changes to the grappling hook and the addition of the paraglider. But the parkour can feel how I would describe as "floaty" sometimes like I'm MJ going for a dunk in space jam.

Third I liked the Final boss and how it incorporated multiple elements including parkour and paragliding, definitely better than the first one.

Fourth I liked being able to mod weapons and craft items on the fly.

Things I Disliked:
The length of the campaign. I beat the campaign in a little over 12 hours, after spending a few hours on side missions and realising the only real benefit from them was XP I went and blitzed the campaign. I don't like how I am unable to manually save so I have to play through the entire game again to get the different endings. The missions also weren't as memorable as the first one. Even the side missions were better in the first dying light, at least I enjoyed delivering chocolates and movie tapes to Gazi, or collecting bolter parts at night.

Building up your community wasn't as cool as the trailers make it out to be. The upgrades that you get for turning on power stations are meh depending on what side you choose. Once you claim a area they just add some generic safe spots and there really isn't much more to the safe zones after that other than optional side quests.

They got rid of all the zany weapon combos and special weapons we had in the past, I miss the ridiculousness of the weapons from Dying light 1 and the Dead Island series.
