Very fun, interesting, short little game. Took me 2.2 hours to beat.

The gameplay consists of choosing dialogue options. There is really no way to lose or any challenge.

The goal of the game is to experience and explore the short little story, the setting, and the mystery at hand. And it's all very interesting.

Worth going into as blind as possible.

Minor spoiler: there aren't really many different environments or characters. So there isn't a lot of content. It's sort of like a visual novel.

If you enjoy sci-fi, a short little mystery story, and a laid back experience, I recommend this game. Keep in mind it's like a visual novel and is very short and light on content.

My only complaint is I'm not sure if it's worth $6 considering how little content there is. A better deal than a movie ticket.

The story was a very intriguing and fun ride.

critically acclaimed for good reason.
i've played Slay the Spire, the first big deck builder roguelike, for hundreds of hours.

just bought Balatro and already +40 hours played. it looks simple but is deceptively deep.
i can already see myself pouring hundreds of hours into this. and i've played other deckbuilders, none others clicked like this.

it has a little shorter run length than StS, which is good to pick up and play.
every run gets optionally converted to endless mode if you win, something i wish StS had.

the art, music, sound, and UI design are all delightful. everything feels satisfying.

most players will compare this game to StS. it is different enough that it doesn't replace StS, but it is just as good in its own way. if it were just more StS it wouldn't be as interesting to me.

PS: i wish Griftlands (third favorite deckbuilder) were as good as this. the problem with Griftlands is it's too slow even at top speed, and each run takes too much time and mental investment.

If you like turn based RPGs and haven't played any Darkest Dungeon game, then get and play the first Darkest Dungeon.

If you've played the first game and enjoyed the combat mechanics, then get DD2. This game is like a distillation of the combat. It has less story and other elements. I enjoyed the first Darkest Dungeon more overall, but I enjoy playing DD2 more as a game.

145 hours playtime before killing the final boss.

Unfortunately, as is so common, an update kneecapped the game. This is why Steam really needs to diligently archive all versions of games we buy and let us download and play any previous build.

In its current state I can't recommend this game.

TACOMA is an interactive story, 'walking simulator' type of game. There is not much "gameplay" per se but to the extent there is, it's good. UI, controls etc are all great.

The story is extremely interesting and well written. 10/10 story.

I looked in every nook and cranny I could, and completing the game took me 3 hours, so 3 hours of gameplay to get through it.

If this all sounds good to you, you like walking sims, would like an interactive movie/story experience, like scifi etc, I can easily recommend this. Very well done this game is.

Just a few skins. I can't recommend this unless it's on a huge sale and/or you're a superfan of the game.

It's free content, and not broken (unlike the Below and Beyond DLC and free update, which broke the base game).

I personally don't like sci-fi fantasy elements in SM so I don't play these mysteries. I like to pretend my mission on Mars is very realistic.

Expensive for what it is. Not essential at all. Only recommended if it's on sale and/or you're a super fan.

Also beware, the new developers which made the latest DLC Below and Beyond wrecked the game. Make sure the game is fixed before buying it or dropping cash on little DLCs.
