About 7,600 hours in game time, and I do personally like this game, especially with friends (like always). If you have played another similar game (MOBA) such as Heroes of the Storm or League of Legends and liked it, there is a decent chance you'd like DotA. Although HotS is quite different, same concept, a multiplayer online battle arena with a team and an objective (in this case, defend your ancient and destroy the enemies, as the name hints).
Now, there certainly are toxic players, however it's not as bad as some other reviews might hint, unless you are playing in EU servers, then I am sorry. EU servers ♥♥♥♥. For US, I do recommend you know at least some Spanish as there are a lot of Spanish speakers, but even if you don't speak Spanish it is still very playable due to pings and the wheel lines.
