tldr: the game still calls you a ♥♥♥♥♥ for 100%'ing, very good

hlm2 is 3x harder than the first game with a fragmented story told through a myriad of characters and story lines. with pretty decent replayability involving achievement hunting, finding secrets, and varying play styles as the story progresses. honestly the sequel capitalizes and improves on the predecessor in every way, while still retaining the core values that made the first one so satisfying. what it lacks in confusing story telling at times, and grueling through near-impossible levels, it makes up for in gameplay satisfaction and validation. hard mode is a ♥♥♥♥♥ and will make you hate everything in your soul. but that's the point no? if you liked hlm1, you will like hlm2. although hlm1 will always have that charm that hlm2 admittedly drops on, it's very subtle. if you're really committed, the grind to 100% is pretty fun, other than the process involved in getting genocide if you hadn't unlocked it naturally by playing through both modes. yes play the game go play it

the game called me a ♥♥♥♥♥ and to get a life when i got A+ on all the levels and 100%'ed the game. 10/10
