How much does a Scanning Items cost?

Scanning items is generally free, but tips are greatly appreciated for the time and risk involved for the trade.
Scanning items methods vary from Valve Employees, but you should always take the extra time to ensure that you are not trading with an imposter.

Who are the Valve Approved Employees?

The only approved middlemen for trading are those listed here:

SteamRep lists active Valve Employees representatives from various trading communities across the Steam Trading Universe. Note: Please always take the steps to verify that you are actually trading with the listed Valve Approved Employees. if you are still feeling insecure, message them on their respective trading community websites. If you are scammed, we cannot retrieve your scammed items.
