If there was a third-person equivalent to Half-Life this would be it. One of the best shooters i've ever had the pleasure to play. Amazingly fluid gun-play with rewarding gore and a mastercrafted soundtrack coupled with the beautifully immersive gameplay enviroments all bundled into one high-octane neo-noir package worth experiencing in it's entirity. My complaints lie in some minor annoyances within the game, such as how your character switches to his pistol after every cutscene instead of pulling his weapon he had before. Gets a bit tedious.

A short, but overall immersive gangster tale that plays out more like a movie than anything. Don't let that discourage you, the gameplay is still very present and the shootouts are well thought-out and challenging enough to back up the games amazing story. It's not exactly a GTA-Clone due to the fact that there is indeed an open world but the game plays out much more linear than anything. There's not much to do outside the story missions other than shop and rob said shops. But as previously stated, it's a story driven expeirence and it does that almost perfectly. I'd highly reccomend it.

Amazing gut-punch of an Adventure lined with comedy, unique characters, and a tragic story that actually manages to get you very emotionally invested. It plays like your average turn-based RPG but with extra elements such as combos that deal more damage ontop of the ability itself. Party members risk Permadeath from a select few random occurances and enemies, and some tough decesions might force you to change the way you play. It's not an easy game, but there's a way to cheap out, Joy. Will you take it, will you take the drug that Brad has tried so hard to ditch for the sake of himself and the ones he loves just to deal some extra damage or will you fight through the withdrawal and suffer to make your goal.

A fun recreation of HL1 in a more modern engine that takes some liberties on it's own to better improve the gameplay. It's not a straight copy and paste of the HL1 format, some bits have been added and some have been shaved down, overall it's still fun and tells the same story but in a unique new way. Although Xen is not out yet, they've been working on that for a quite a long while and the mod is still free and being updated, i'd still encourage buying this game to help fund the devs for their passion-filled hard work. It's not often you get to repay modders for all the effort they've put into the medium they love.

Incredibly fun, and with the new update it revamps the class system to be more like the previous entries in the series, doing away with the class system and instead adding customizable loadouts you can change up with each of the three armor types, Heavy, Medium, and Light. Nothing feels better than a Tribes game, the mechanics really have not been replicated by any of other series i can think of and it stays unique to this day. Skiing and the twitch combat coupled with the massive enviroments makes for just a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good time in terms of gameplay.

If sixteen cats in a barrel can bring me 700 hours of entertainment, this game and a jar of vaseline should bring me so much more. Best game since Big Game Hunt Rhodesia: White Minority Alert, makes me long for the subtle negro flavoring of Robert Mugabe's premium salted c ock.
