super satisfying game , made with a clear love for both roguelites and platform fighters

its like hades but with platform fighting mechanics. You can wavedash, jump cancel, combo, platdrop, p much anything you can think of

you upgrade and unlock things in between runs, there IS a difficulty increasing mechanic (like Heat in hades, modifiers to make the run more difficult and more rewarding if you complete the run)

i've been playing since May 2023 and I'm always excited to start another run.

Unlocking the weapons and their different aspects i think was my favorite part so far. (Even the alternate forms of) The weapons play so differently from each other, and are really fun to use for different reasons

Great game with a great feel to it: super gritty and intense but not in a standoffish way

The hitcancelling mechanic is amazing, the depth of the combo system is super well thought out, and the "Shuffle Combos" option add another layer of challenge.

A deceiving amount of content for the price, this game has three separate dungeons which spawn different enemies (not including the tutorial area), Three different Characters to play as, each with their own deck and unique mechanics. This game also has a "Chain" mechanic, similar to Slay the Spire's Ascendancy mechanic.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone that likes Deckbuilders, Chess, Dungeon Crawlers, Roguelites, or any combination of these categories.

aseprite is super useful, professional grade program, i rec it to everyone that hasnt already heard of it

reminds me of the Zhuangzi Butterfly Dream:

recently got this game on sale, got completely hooked within the first three missions

the style, dialogue, combat, and crafting system are all top notch, 10/10

some of the things that hold the game back in my eyes is the movement, often times passing through another person (or vice versa) can mess up my placement, but to be fair thats just a learning curve

the combat enforces high mobility because of the healing combat, and i think thats really interesting. It makes positioning, resource management, exploration, and map awareness very important. Also requires a little bit of tracking which "patients" you have already treated, etc

Overall, 8/10, happy i got it on sale but i'm happy i got this game, if you like games with grid based combat/cool aesthetics/fun exploration, this is the game for you
