Base game and the Old Gods DLC offer a great amount of content and are completely free. Although the game has a moderately steep learning curve, the free content can easily give 20-50 hours of replayability for a grand strategy or medieval history fan.
Play it if you're interested in buying CKIII, and the successor game takes everything that is good about CKII and makes most of it a whole lot better.
DLC system is annoying tho, darn you greedy Paradox.
