unable to save game, which makes it can't skip to the part i already passed before. Also, some mechanics are unnecessary and time consuming, understand the logic behind certain actions but does it really need like 2 minutes of time in reality to complete a single meaningless action in-game (i.e. both brothers rolling a sick guy on the platform up to second floor)?

nonetheless, i understand this is a 2013 game, maybe a small update to this would help, won't spend time starting all over again.

yes, it only takes about 10 minutes of your time, but you'll understand a lot by playing this.

you should experience it yourself.

Expected to finish exploring in the end.

Unfortunately, it seems like it has a season 2/ DLC/ full game yet to be released.

Anyway, good puzzle game considering it is free.

Only two things:
1. This game does not end in 0.0 hour
2. This game should not be free.

Detailed review:
I roughly went through the reviews in Steam. Thinking this is the kind of game I'd play - depressing, beautiful in-game settings.

But.
I went into the game, trying to save the girl from committing suicide.
*spoiler alert below*
I thought if I accepted and sent all the memes and promised to stay for the night would be sufficient - to save her.
But no, she's not the one.
The one that remembered my birthday is the one.
...
.....
Anybody else bothered about the girl's death?
....
I regretted much.
And it was back to the main menu.
..
If given another chance I'd give 200% support and care wholeheartedly.
..
...

I wish you would, too.

P/S: could developer provide a sequel or a similar game to this? I'm definitely up for it.

Bought it at full price IIRC.

- walking simulator game
- creator explaining throughout the whole game I've played this far on how his friend, Coda created games for a few years and stopped
- other reviews show that it has a great message in the end but it's just psychologically horrifying for me to keep on expecting zombies or enemies popping up anytime in different levels (I know this isn't the main point of the game), this is just not my kind of game.

You will get addicted the moment you start playing it.

It's like minecraft + The Sims + farming simulator + quests here and there + gifting presents on others' birthdays

Definitely worth your $$$

Currently playing single player mode and haven't tried multiplayer with 12.7 hours play time in the record.

I played the game while it's free on Steam (for four hours straight without sleeping!)

Reasons why you should buy:
1.Not the usual fps games that ask you to take down enemies as a soldier; now you are a bunch of civilians trying to survive, you look at the war entirely different, war destroys families, brings a lot of deaths and miserable life to people. You learn to appreciate that how lucky it is to live without worrying that you are under attack, staying on guard every night just to look out for the food and medical supplies (etc) that you have raided.

2. It's not that horrific despite the story settings and game's colours.

3. You know how choices matter and endings can be different, depending on who you choose to give the bandage, how aggressive you want to be with/ without firearms, to visit dangerous/ caution marked/ safe places (to rob people off?).

4. One of a kind of game I've seen thus far in my life (I only find out that I can choose different combinations of characters to play my own story), given shortages of supplies, you start to think what should you do next,
and the time is ticking.

5. You get to decide for yourself how you want to progress:
a. To live longer by robbing others
b. To be a saint and die earlier (by not robbing (as much?))
c. To trade well, what you want to exchange

Things that hold me back a bit:
1. This is the first time I'm playing with a console (obviously I'm the kind of CS:GO player), accidentally turned down a pair of friends away (I guess I clicked the wrong button or something) and they walked away :( Could have survived longer if they came and stayed on guard for the night (there are other uncertainties too, more refugees = more supplies needed, bed and food too!)

2. Until the stage two of them are lethally injured, they are still unwilling to take:
a. Medicine
b. Herbs
and mentioned that "maybe we can keep it for later"

U wot m8, you're dying but you chose to die rather than eating the bitter pills?

3. Don't let your characters get mentally broken, cuz they won't move around anymore,
time is running out but you have to use other players to pass them bandages if they are injured, and they will need to sleep as long as they want until they feel better (at most, depressed)

4. I prefer if I manage to go a few places at the same night, for an example, I just got some medical supplies elsewhere, I can exchange with the son for something in return, and go elsewhere to get food again (although some might think this is just a game and kill everyone else, this way you might survive longer, but you might get into depression)

5. Only one scavenger, sometimes even one on guard is not enough, people will come and steal your things away too (well, this might be how the real war works).

Overall: I'll rate it 8/10, new game to me and it keeps me thinking about what war brings us and how could I done better just now, but of course, no matter how long you survive in-game, it's incomparable with those people that go through war in real life.

Will definitely consider buying the game (it is doing a promotion now) and DLCs! Excited at what they can offer to the players:)

The game is what you see as of the store page.

Why should you buy:
+ Highly saturated colours/ vibrance
+ Everything is beautiful including the colours, it's like a sketch with colours in a high graphics way
+ Minimal specs requirements and only 800mb-ish space
+ I don't know if anyone else feels the same, this game indirectly tells us not to give up despite you might not passing the mission at first try, even under different and tough situations, you need to retry and win it
+ Overall: still cute, few buttons needed only, you can play using console too, I'd say 10/10 given that it's free, until now I've passed like four or five missions, suitable for casual gamers and young kids.

Saw the reviews the story is short but I guess if it was to have a price tag, I guess under 3 bucks is considerable, note that there is a deluxe edition DLC too, do hope that more people can play this game and support the creator.

One of the few games that I will put in effort in writing a review
It only happen under a few circumstances:
1. The game is terrible.
2. The game is ****ing AWESOME, such as FEZ!

Put in hope that there will be FEZ 2, but this is what I get from the news dated back to the year 2014:
http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/08/18/fez-2-is-never-going-to-happen-says-fish
</3

Why should you try it out? What's great about this game?:
+ Perfectly synchronise 2D and 3D concept in the gameplay.
+ Cool story (in its own way).
+ You really have to think to solve its puzzles, because every puzzle is unique.
+ Great pass time.
+ Quite addictive as you will have the urge to make progress.
+ Most of the music in this game sound good.
+ You will be curious "what's next?"/ "did I miss anything?"
+ Less tensed (at least compared to the other games that I play)/ relaxing game
+ Feels "solaced" whenever I got a new cube/ key and Gomez smiles :D
+ Easy to learn, hard to solve all
+ It only require minimal storage space and PC specifications!

Cons:
- It doesn't have a sequel! :( Appreciate every bit of this game
- At this stage, there are a few puzzles that I still didn't manage to figure it out, it tests on your intelligence.
- Constantly put you into the status: "how should I solve it?", couldn't manage to solve it and felt like: "then how could I go further down????"

Side note/ reference for play time: I progressed from about 6 or 9% to 55 or 59% from midnight until dawn

Overall: I will rate it 11/10, and 100/10 gonna buy if there is FEZ 2.

Tried to find an alternative for this game, something similar, I checked *More like this*, and realised that there will never be another FEZ.... :')
