I really enjoy Banished. I love the game play, I love the music, I love the strategy. It is an immensely replayable survival city builder game. I cared for my town and its kids, it was great immersion for me. I have not tried any of the mods yet (and I am at 87 hours!). I have just enjoyed trying different strategies to see which works the best and which keeps my people from dying off.

I bought this on sale and would strongly recommend you put it on your wishlist and wait for a sale to come along and buy it.

Update 11/23. Even after 7 years and many, many hours later, I still love this game. And I still don't use the mods in regular play; i have only experimented with them. It is just such an escape from my reality for me. The music is perfect.
