I think the variety of routines is really good for a game that isn't complete yet, it really lets you make a routine that's right for you (or follow online guides, which are growing as Aim Lab gets more popular). The insights, particularly the weaknesses, are a nice touch and can be helpful, and the progress tracking is one of my favorite features. It's both encouraging to see your improvement, and helpful in letting you look deeper if you hit a plateau. The other routines that allow for player movement are also a great touch, and I hope to use these more in time!

I use Kovaak's as well, and while the nature of them having user-submitted scenarios means it has more scenarios, I think both programs have their strengths and are both great tools to use. This is free, and I feel it is a very adequate substitute and stands on its own. As long as harder scenarios are added as well, and potentially projectile-based scenarios in the future, I think Aim Lab would be a very good "game" to have as both a time killer and a genuine way to improve aim.

Pros
- Loadouts and a lot of champs means you'll probably find one or more characters that fit the way you want to play
- Runs decently enough, it's not the most well-optimized game but it doesn't have beefy requirements
- Game's made in a way that lets non-FPS players come in and focus less on typical FPS mechanics like amazing aim and more on the meat of the game

Cons
- Servers are 50/50, especially for Ranked
- Code is spaghetti-fied, meaning there are a lot of bugs, and fixes to those bugs can and have caused new bugs to appear
- Game isn't good at teaching you how to really play the game (team comps, not dying, not staggering your team, etc)
- It's a hero shooter, so it's more team-reliant than a lot of shooters

I'd recommend it because it's on the upswing in terms of improvements over the past couple of months, and its game flow is IMO fun.

As a kid, this game's given me and my sister many, many hours of enjoyment as we played splitscreen on the good ol' PS2. Back last summer sale, I bought this as a sort of "thanks" for all the good memories I have from my childhood. In the few minutes I played to check it out, I saw it was still as fun as I remembered Battlefront 2 to be. Lots of maps, lots of game modes, lots of entertainment. And from what I've seen, there are a lot of mods that add maps and characters being made to this day, which lengthen the game's lifespan even more. Certainly much better than EA's rendition of Battlefront (I wish Battlefront 3 didn't get cancelled, that version was supposed to be the chosen one!), and I fully recommend it :)
