Early Access Review
I've only played half an hour because I'm scared of deep water.

10/10.

First and foremost, I would like to take a minute to mention the disgusting behavior of slamming a game in steam reviews purely because it has optional micro-transactions that aren't needed in the slightest to complete the game. The game is extremely easy.

You cannot, in any shape or form defend your behavior and review when you've played 0.7hrs.

It is appalling.

Review the game on how you feel it comes together as a whole, not just targeting the publisher at 20 minutes played.

You think you are high and mighty sitting there like your internet review carries amazing weight, but all your doing is screwing the game developers out of a job and possible sequels....did you think about that on your Ivory tower?

No. Sometimes, the publishers screw the devs by making them include these things in the publishing deal, and it is a well known fact now that Square Enix are moving out of the full priced games to pushing DLC and mobile content. So make sure you are circle-jerking the right people.

I do however get the frustration behind not knowing pre-order items and microtransaction items were single use. In that regard, SE and EM should have had better communication with the community.

Now for the actual review

The Story - Personally, I loved it. They ramp it up as it goes on and as the credits roll it leaves you wanting so much more Deus Ex. Great way to build up a possible sequel or DLC story pack. The story, it's characters and the way the plot evolves leaves you never knowing quite who to trust, which is perfect for this kind of games.

It's very conspiracy filled. And very Deus Ex.

There is throwbacks to HR which I enjoyed, and while I would have liked the mystery behind what AJ was doing between games more fleshed out, I am happy with that they gave. The main part of the game could have been a tad longer. I clocked in 20 hours with most side missions completed.

The ending is quite abrupt and I can see how it would have thrown some players off, but I enjoyed the dread and tension the ending scene built up.

Graphics and Sound - Visually this game is a treat. I run a very old computer with a fairly average Graphics card and the game benchmarked and ran it at optimal settings for me. I played on High with shadows and such things on medium to low and the game still looked incredible. On a powerful machine I can only imagine how good it looks.

The world is alive with vibrant neon and murky sewers. The devs did an amazing job at making Prague look beautifull and menacing at the same time.

The sound quality is fantastic, the musical score that runs through the game amps up at the right moments. Plenty of little details about as well, and great sound effects.

Controls and Abilities

I played using a keyboard and mouse with no issues. The controls are responsive and slick, with augmentations and items very easy to hotkey. The game works fantastic for both Keyboard and Controller users. This is a good port. They patched out most launch issues within the launch week.

Wether you are going full Solid snake or full Rambo, there are some awesome options for you. The abilities all fit nicely, and if you are going for Rambo, you can turn into a death machine. The abilities are fantastic and the crafting system a neat little addition. Turn your shotgun into a rapid, multishot firing death stick.

Hacking is back, and while I find the games RNG can be brutal in some situations (you may fail 5 simple hacks in a row because even with a 10% chance of detection you can trigger the firewall very easily).

Alternatively, you can often find ways around any situation that require no special abilities. I would often find myself sighing from not looking at all my options, after finding secret routes to places where I'd just had intese shootouts.

The game is incredibly easy on normal and I would recommend going on the hardest difficulty you can. You can purchase additional Praxis through micro-transactions but the game gives you experience and Praxis quite easily so you will never need to spend an extra cent.

In summary:

Story writing: 7/10
Story length: 7/10

Graphics and
sound quality: 8/10

PC port and
controls: 8/10

Total score 8/10

It is a fantastic Deus Ex game let down only by some poor communication pre-release and a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ community reaction, some launch day P.C port problems and a short story. I would reccomend this game at both full price if you can afford it and most definatley when it goes on sale. It's a great ride which leaves you wanting more.

The Witcher 3 is a fitting end to an amazing trilogy. It's an ambitious beast, and it delivers its mammoth story with finnesse , and a new, very high standard to which big name RPGs will have to follow

This game is the result of hard work and dedication which started 8 years ago, in a humble small studio in a cold city. If you play one RPG this year, make it this one.

You play as Geralt, a mutated human, pushed through trials and tribulations at a young age to become a Witcher, a monster slaying machine of grey morality and silver hair, in a world that both fears him and is repulsed by his presence...a neccesary evil in a time of war and death

I'm not going to bother talking about its graphics, sound and combat because to be honest they are all up to par, and if your spending your time looking at buying the game based off those you're missing the point of it

This is a game to be felt, to be experienced, to feel alive in.

This game will shock you, move you and make you think about the decisions you made long after you stop playing it

Do yourself a favor and get comfortable, tune out the world, and experience this masterpeice of fiction in all its glory.

Forget what you think you know about big title rpgs.

Bravo CDPR, Bravo.
