I love this game.

This game is to me as the Postal Dude is to health pipes; this can't be good for me, but I feel great. If you like numbers popping on your screen all the time or you want an alternative to the much more malicious lootboxes of Triple-A titles, then this is the game for you.

When I'm at my lowest in the game:
What is this RNG!? I'm fighting an Auto-Scout in an asteroid field, and it destroyed me in the first jump with just its Heavy Laser I and a Leto missle. Stupid game!

When I'm at my highest in the game:
Rebel Flagship: Noo! You're just a puny cruiser from the Federation, you can't defeat me!
Me: Haha, Burst Laser MkIIs go brrrr
*The Rebel Flagship then goes boom, then the Victory jingle plays.

Overall, fun, yet sometimes frustratingly frustrating game. I'll update this once I've done all the ship layouts and won a Hard difficulty victory in each of them.

So, Terraria, the game that I have no words to say how good it is. It's comparable to the mythos that surrounds the deceptively innocent game made by the Resetting of Logic itself. It starts innocent, then little by little, the horrors start to creep in, consuming any unprepared mind who dared to looks at those horrors up close, but no, you're a hero, destined to a path of good fortune and glory. Just as you thought it was it, but no, a new challenge awaits, a challenge that only those who dared to seek it will unfurl. Champion, save the world of Terraria from the horror, and you know what horror I'm talking about.

This game is actually one of those most captivating and casual games that when you start playing it, either you stop immediately or you just keep on playing for longer, and longer, and longer periods of time, until you realize that a year has passed and you didn't even notice the time passing by. I'm already 328 hours in this game at this time of writing, but at the years to come, I do hope for the future that this culture, this game shall last long enough to reach the next generation of gamers, which is after my generation. And as for any future player who would pick this up and play it for the first time, do so with dedication, gratitude, and casuality, for by playing this game, you are helping this game live longer and prosper, and maybe, just maybe, one day, we may hear a new world record for this game. Update: I still feel dead inside even after playing this game for more than 2.2k hours. Is it worth it? Probably not. Do my previous points still stand? Yes. Pootis? POW!

Update update after the kerfuffle that is the bot crisis of 2024 (I've lost count how many times this game gets lubed and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by bots): Unfortunately, as much as I like this game, it's clear that cheaters are more than just cheaters, they're 4chan level degenerates that should have their Internet privileges revoked. I stand with this community and my negative review shall stand until the bots are gone.

I'd say this game is a finely tuned piece of weaponry, a rare occurrence in this current desolation of mainstream games. But once I've mastered this game's design and limitations, I'll be editing this review to make it thorough, but for now, my review never changes.
