After completing this game 3 times now, gotta say it's still one of my favourites. The adventure you go through in this game is still good after 2 replays even if it is, essentially, a laundry list game. The visuals are stunning even with the geometry spazming from render distance, the music slaps, and the atmosphere is great. Not too short but also not too long that you can get sucked in fora few good sessions without ever feeling the need to drop out for an extended time.

Though this playthrough certainly ended with a laugh when "Cyclops(R) is a registered trademark of OceanGate Inc. and is used under license." showed up at the end of the credits.

The game was delightful! The story and characters were wonderfully written, the cutscenes were well made and entertaining so there was no desire to hurry it up, the gameplay kept giving new things to keep the interest and fun going, and the inclusion of competitive minigames kept the desire to troll a friend to a minimum (huge plus for me, I don't like when my teammate impedes progress to entertain themself and piss me off).

One huge plus to this game is that the way it's constructed, it feels like an actual interactive movie while still being a game! The characters constantly comment on what's happening, making jabs or reminiscing so you are getting invested in them. Quick time events are kept to a minimum, but the game still doesn't need to keep you holding the controller, because you don't let it go, there's no need and you don't think about letting it go, you simply are not getting bored. (Not like David Cage's games)

Very much recommend, I think couples could have even more fun then we did especially because of the story so grab your partner and play!

It is with a heavy heart that I decide to leave this game for good. I first played this game 5 years ago and this title was a play, leave and comeback type for me. Each time I came back, things changed drastically. I loved the game I picked up that first time and I let slide some of the changes, because I had many fond memories of it.

However, this time coming back was completely devastating. I have not played for a very long time, since my potato computer decided to bail on me. This break feels like an eternity, looking at how drastically different the game is now. Morheim and Altgard, places dear to my heart, where I spent countless hours just taking screenshots instead of doing anything productive, are gone. Deleted. Beluslan, a place that was so alien and wonderous due to my many restarts of characters was now only a step away, taking it's magic with it, when it previously took weeks for me to get there. Ishalgen is now just a place with a one path. The cementary was ignored, the previous start point with it. I did like the books on display in Aldelle, because I used to visit the library in Pandeamonium just to learn of the world, but since I have read most of the books, it lost it's charm in minutes.

The game became boring and brainless really. The character is so overwhelmingly strong for the first monsters that it completely lost me, even as I was very interested to try the painter gameplay. You don't plan your order of attack, you just click one button and the enemy is dead in the next 2 seconds, no effort. You're showered in meaningless rewards. Take pointless quests that give no enjoyment. It just became a clicker game.

I am deeply sad to say this, but Aion is to be put on a dusty shelf and forgotten for good.
