After some time ive slowly come to the conclusion that death stranding is at its core, a MOUNTAINEERING simulator, and should be enjoyed as such.

The story arc of each mission is physically represented by the terrain you cross, and most of the tools in your disposal (alongside the outfit you wear) are directly borrowed from reality.
