An excellent puzzle game that has fairly simple mechanics but uses those mechanics to the fullest, resulting in some fairly difficult puzzles. Do note that simple mechanics are a good thing--some puzzle games suffer from being overly complicated, at which point you're not so much trying to solve the puzzle but moreso trying to understand the mechanics of the game. The solutions themselves are not tedious to execute (most solutions take under 30 seconds to execute), but may take quite a while to find (there are puzzles that have taken me over half an hour). The UI is also simple and intuitive. All-in-all, a great puzzle game. Give it a try!

IMPORTANT NOTE: I wouldn't recommend you to play on the Steam Version. Rather, you should download the client from Mihoyo/Hoyoverse's website instead. That's what I did--as such, my Steam playtime does not accurate reflect my gameplay time. Also, as this is essentially a mobile game, I highly recommend using a controller.

Anyways, let's talk about the actual game.

I'll be honest, if you told me that this was a good game a few years ago, I wouldn't have believed you, and I wouldn't have touched it at all, because it just looks like another "waifu bait" game. The main reason why I got into Honkai Impact 3rd was that I found out about "Rubia" and I found a few of their animated shorts on Youtube to be very high quality productions. So please, don't judge this game by its cover--play it for a bit if you're curious about it.

Once you get past the prologue, this game has incredible writing (and animations). It very accurately (and very beautifully) portrays trauma, pain, depression and despair, as well as grit, hope, and various virtues. The characters feel very real and very human, and the growth they go through feels very natural. It's no coincidence that certain sections of the story feel very heavy to many players to the point that they cry (some even have to put down the game for a period of time).

As such, I believe that this game's story is certainly worth experiencing.

A compact, simple puzzle game that is fairly difficult. The UI is clean and straightforward. The game doesn't introduce too many mechanics, so the puzzles are easy to understand, but the game makes use of the mechanics extremely well, resulting in quite a few challenging puzzles. As the game's price is very cheap during sales, I would highly recommend picking up a copy.

There isn't much "game" to this game. Sure, the game looks great, but the controls are very finnicky, and the "puzzles" can be solved at a glance. When you take the game's large price tag into consideration, I simply cannot recommend this game. You'll be better off playing significantly cheaper puzzle games such as Wayout or LYNE, as they offer more challenging puzzles. If you are willing to put down money, and want to try a puzzle game that's very innovative, I would recommend checking out Baba is You.

A simple yet fun game with a decent soundtrack. It's an extremely challenging platformer with over 300 levels. It also has a level editor, but let's be honest--community-made levels aren't very good. If you want to master pixel perfect controls, and you're ok with being stuck on a level for over an hour, play this game, it's definitely worth it.

Basically Super Bit Blaster XL, but with more features. The developers are responsible, and occasionally gift free games.

A simple, minimalist puzzle game that is offered at a cheap price. There's no menu, no instructions, the escape key closes the game (I found out about this by accident when I was trying to bring up a pause menu). In my personal opinion, this game is perfect when you want to take a quick break from whatever you're doing, because you don't have to play until the next checkpoint so you can stop at any time, the puzzles are fairly intuitive so your mind won't go back to this game when it's time to focus on your task at hand (i.e., work or an online class), and its simplicity allows you to relax for a bit.

If there's one thing that this game has taught me, it's that there's just an explicable, beautiful sense of happiness when you have a simple life that's connected with nature.

This game is simple yet addictive, and the pixel art gives the game a very relaxed feeling. A great game to play if you want to relax and go retro after a hard day's work.

Devs are really nice too, gifting out free games occasionally.
